# Akali Wins Singapore, But Kennen Still Rules the Meta
Another unexpected Legend won this set, and this time it was Gorica's Akali.
Let's have a look at what happened during the Singapore Regional Qualifier.
Kennen Is Still the Most Played Legend
Across more than 6000 games, Kennen was still the most played Legend with 11.5% play rate.
Rek'Sai fell off compared to Barcelona, going from more than 100 players to 69, while Akali increased in popularity despite her average results being bad.
Akali's Overall Results Were Terrifying
Speaking of Akali, her stats were terrifying, and not in a good way.
If CollinK and Gorica had not saved her, the overall numbers would have looked even worse.
Her only good matchup was Irelia, unless you are exceptionally good with her.
However, if we focus only on the top player matches, her winrate looks much better.
The sample size is low because most Akali players did not qualify to the top, but it still shows better results than what we saw above.
What Happened to Ornn?
But what about Ornn?
I believe many players picked Ornn thinking he would lead the new meta after Barcelona, but it looks like it was a massacre.
Most players probably did not have enough time to prepare with the deck and make it work as well as TheManLand did. Ornn is supposed to be a counter to Kennen but clearly it struggled against it wiht only 37.5% winrate!
We could see the same phenomenon with Akali in Los Angeles.
Kennen Has No Bad Matchup
If we look at the broader meta, one thing becomes very clear:
Kennen is THE Legend right now.
No bad matchup at all.
There is clearly a problem when no Legend can really tear him apart.
Even his "worst" matchup is Rek'Sai, and it is still extremely close.
Kennen Is Both Popular and Performing
With a better visualization of the data, we can immediately see that Kennen is both:
- the most played Legend;
- and one of the Legends with the best results.
Jayce also made a very good impression, finishing with the second-highest winrate of the tournament.
His main weakness?
Kennen.
Kennen Also Dominated Conversion
As if this wasn't enough, Kennen also had the highest Top 64 conversion if we only count the "best of" Legends.

On the other hand, one of the biggest flops was Irelia.
Her Top 64 conversion was only 1.4%, so low that she doesn't even appear properly on the screenshot.
Can Anyone Stop Kennen?
So after Singapore, the situation looks pretty clear.
Kennen is:
- the most played Legend;
- one of the best-performing Legends;
- extremely hard to target;
- and one of the best decks at converting into the top cut.
The big question now is:
Will players in Los Angeles crack the code and finally make Kennen fail?
Or are we simply going to confirm his supremacy?
